Alibaba's Tongyi Lab Releases AgentScope 2.0 with Enhanced Security and Environment Decoupling

GateNews
According to Beating, Alibaba's Tongyi Lab released AgentScope 2.0, a multi-agent development framework designed to address production-level reliability and security challenges. The framework introduces retry and fallback model mechanisms to prevent task interruptions from model timeouts, a permission system for blocking high-risk shell commands and sensitive file operations, and a Workspace abstraction layer that decouples agent business logic from execution environments. This allows agents to run on local machines, Docker containers, or E2B cloud sandboxes without code modification. The Python version has been upgraded, with new TypeScript and upcoming Java versions planned.
