According to an X post on Thursday, Anton Bukov, co-founder of 1inch, announced his complete departure from the company after more than seven years to launch a new project called Second Tier. Bukov said he was "fired" in November 2025 after advocating for changes in management, though 1inch stated he had not been actively involved since December 2025.

Bukov clarified that he no longer takes part in operations and has no role in product architecture, security, or oversight. Co-founder Sergej Kunz, who remains in charge, said Bukov's departure "will not disrupt" 1inch's infrastructure or systems.
