16 Chinese Rivers Exceed Alert Flood Levels Over 24 Hours, 5 Surpass Safe Capacity

According to data from China’s Ministry of Water Resources reported by CCTV News, 16 medium and small rivers across Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hubei provinces experienced flood levels exceeding alert thresholds during the 24-hour period from May 18 to May 19. Among these, five rivers surpassed safe capacity levels, including tributaries of major waterways such as the Xijiang, Wujiang, Yuan, and Ganjiang systems.
