#广场预测世界杯赢40000U FIFA President Infantino accused of violating neutrality principles, may face complaints from some organizations
Beijing time, July 9 – The latest reports indicate that FIFA President Gianni Infantino is suspected of violating neutrality principles and may face complaints from certain organizations, which will be submitted to the IOC Ethics Committee.
According to *A Bola*, some organizations believe that Infantino has too close a personal relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, which seriously deviates from the core principle of the Olympic Charter requiring members to maintain political and commercial independence.
As a member of the International Olympic Committee, Infantino's actions are considered to have undermined the impartial image of sports organizations. In December 2025, Infantino's awarding of the FIFA Peace Award to Trump sparked widespread discontent, drawing criticism from multiple parties including members of the European Parliament and the Norwegian Football Federation. In February 2026, Infantino attended the Peace Council hosted by Trump, an act interpreted as publicly endorsing Trump.
Earlier, IOC President Kirsty Coventry was asked about Trump's phone call to Infantino, after which FIFA delayed the suspension of U.S. forward Folarin Balogun following a red card. Coventry replied: "As far as I know, the Ethics Committee has not yet received any complaints about this matter. Obviously, if a complaint is received, we will review it."
According to the IOC website, "any person" can provide information regarding "suspected" violations of the organization's ethical principles.
