Zcash Finalizes Ironwood Upgrade Targeting July Activation to Fix Orchard Flaw

According to Zcash developer Sean Bowe, the network has finalized consensus rule changes for the Ironwood upgrade targeting July activation (roughly six weeks out) to address a critical flaw in the Orchard shielded pool. The upgrade introduces a fresh shielded pool to prevent circulation of any counterfeit ZEC that a recently patched Orchard bug could have created, leveraging Zcash's turnstile accounting system to constrain supply and audit the old pool.
