Waller Sworn in as Federal Reserve Chair on May 22

Jerome Powell's successor Waller was sworn in as Federal Reserve Chair today (May 22). Separately, the People's Bank of China will issue yuan-denominated central bank bills through the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Bond Settlement System, according to official announcements. Additionally, Federal Reserve official Barkin commented that near-term inflation expectations reflected in long-term bond markets show no signs of running out of control.
