According to reports compiled by Jin 10 Data, the U.S. military struck six Iranian civilian ships in the Strait of Hormuz on May 10. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned that any further infringement on Iranian vessels would trigger a “fierce response.” Iranian officials also cautioned against closing the strait’s maritime passage, while a military source stated that although current tensions in the Persian Gulf have subsided, conflict could reignite if the U.S. creates further trouble for Iranian vessels.
