U.S. Military Maintains Blockade on Iran Ports, Fires Warning Shots on May 24

GateNews
According to Jin10 data and Wynward Maritime Analysis, the U.S. military on May 24 continued firing warning shots at vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports near the Strait of Hormuz, with no signs of easing the maritime blockade. Radio recordings from crew members aboard trapped ships showed U.S. forces forced one vessel to remain near Iran's Chabahar port. Wynward Maritime Analysis stated that despite reports of potential U.S.-Iran negotiations, conditions in the strait showed no significant improvement. Satellite imagery obtained by the firm indicates large oil tankers remain anchored near Iran's islands and critical waterway positions, with only limited vessel traffic, primarily small cargo ships, passing through the strait.
