U.S. Customs Begins Issuing $160 Billion in Illegal Tariff Refunds on May 12

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the first batch of illegal tariff refunds will begin distribution on May 12, with some American enterprises receiving reimbursements. The refunds cover tariffs previously collected but later ruled unlawful by the U.S. Supreme Court. Over 330,000 importers paid approximately $160 billion in related tariffs, with at least 75,000 enterprises submitting refund applications as of April 26.
