According to The Guardian on May 16, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s approval rating has declined to 27%, with 65% of respondents expressing disapproval, according to data platform Statista. The poll, conducted following Labour’s underwhelming performance in recent local elections, reflects ongoing challenges to Starmer’s political standing. However, Starmer is not alone among European leaders facing declining support. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has a lower approval rating of 19% with 76% disapproval, while French President Emmanuel Macron’s figures stand at 18% approval and 75% disapproval.
