South Korea's Democratic Party Announces Plan to Make Country Digital Asset Hub

South Korea’s Democratic Party announced on May 15 a local election policy to make the country a digital asset hub and establish a regulatory framework for stablecoins. The party released the policy ahead of the June 3 local elections. Notably, none of the other six major political parties, including the ruling People Power Party, included digital assets in their local election pledges.
