Saudi Aramco Trading and Adnoc Continue Shipping Crude Through Strait of Hormuz Despite Disruptions

According to informed sources, Saudi Aramco Trading and Adnoc continue shipping crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz on May 8, despite significantly reduced volumes following Iran’s closure of the waterway ten weeks prior. Adnoc is among the first to resume operations, delivering Upper Zakum crude via Fujairah waters instead of traditional Zirku Island loading. Data from Vortexa and Kpler show multiple very large crude carriers have transited the strait in recent weeks. A chartered VLCC, Fujairah Energy, is scheduled to load crude for Asia delivery between May 15-17, according to shipping agreements.
