Ningxia Issues Orange Rainstorm Alert After 52.3mm Rainfall on May 24

According to the Meteorological Bureau of Ningxia, on May 24, the region experienced region-wide rainfall. The maximum cumulative precipitation reached 52.3mm in Yanli Village, Tianping Township, Xiji County, Guyuan, with peak hourly rainfall of 38.1mm/hour recorded in Huize Village, Huamachi Township, Yanchi County, Wuzhong. The regional meteorological agency issued a blue rainstorm alert at 10:10 a.m., which was later upgraded to an orange alert by Yanchi County at 3:59 p.m.

The Water Resources Department and Meteorological Bureau of Ningxia jointly issued a yellow alert for flash flood risks at 12:00 p.m. Regional meteorological departments issued 51 warning signals reaching 500,300 people, with an additional 23 disaster risk warnings issued jointly with relevant departments.
