LME Expands Hong Kong Warehouse Network to 15 Facilities Since Last Year, Storage Nearing Capacity

According to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing CEO Edith Lam, the London Metal Exchange (LME) has expanded its warehouse network in Hong Kong from 4 to 15 facilities since last year, with storage capacity now approaching saturation.

The LME and Hong Kong Exchanges are exploring further collaboration, including futures contracts and products denominated in Chinese yuan, to establish a comprehensive commodities ecosystem across Asia.
