According to the Daiwa Institute of Research, Japan's 10-year government bond yields fell 7 basis points to 2.690% on Monday, May 25, driven by lower oil prices. Economists at the institute project yields could rise to around 3.1% in the second half of fiscal 2027 (ending March 2028), citing potential impacts from Bank of Japan rate hikes and reduced bond purchases.
