According to reports, an Indian user identified as Arivu permanently tattooed a memecoin ticker on his forehead in exchange for a bounty on Pump.fun's newly launched GO marketplace on June 4. The platform offered 40 SOL, worth roughly $2,630, for the challenge, though the listing contained a typo using "$boutywork" instead of the intended token name.
The typo unexpectedly created a windfall. Traders launched a separate BOUTYWORK token based on the misspelling, which reached a market capitalization exceeding $600,000. Arivu reportedly earned approximately $17,500 through community donations and token-related activity, far exceeding the original bounty. The episode sparked widespread criticism on social media, with users condemning the platform's moderation policies for enabling humiliating challenges.
