According to Jin10, on May 25, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem urged Lebanese authorities to abandon direct negotiations with Israel, calling such talks "completely unacceptable" and pure gain for Israel. He called on Lebanese authorities to "give up direct negotiations, do not give America an opportunity, [do not let it be] handed over to Israel." The next round of direct Israel-Lebanon talks is scheduled to take place in Washington in early June.
