Gate News message, April 20 — European Council President António Costa spoke with Jordan’s King Abdullah II on April 20, emphasizing the EU’s commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East. Costa stated that the European Union is working closely with key regional partners, including Jordan, and stressed that the full and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz remains the current top priority.

The EU continues to closely monitor the situation in Lebanon, as well as developments in Gaza and the West Bank, which remain areas of significant concern for the bloc.
