Gate News message, April 28 — CrossHub has signed a strategic agreement with three of Vietnam’s leading national universities to deploy blockchain-based digital student identification systems. The collaboration includes Vietnam National University Hanoi, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and University of Da Nang, collectively serving approximately 210,000 students and faculty members. The initiative, formalized through a memorandum of understanding at the Hanoi IT Support Center, will utilize CrossHub’s IDBlock identity authentication and B-Pay digital payment solutions.
The project originated from discussions between CrossHub and Vietnamese academic institutions following a university leadership visit to South Korea late last year and has since expanded to include multiple major universities. CrossHub will handle software development and authentication services, while hardware deployment and system integration will be managed through a partnership with Daeyang C.I.S. The system will integrate Internet of Things technologies to support campus functions including entry and exit management and surveillance capabilities.
The Vietnamese government has demonstrated strong support for the initiative, with Da Nang offering operational space within its innovation startup support center and corporate income tax benefits. CrossHub plans to present the digital student ID system to Vietnam’s Ministry of Education as a model for nationwide expansion, establish a joint venture headquarters in the country, and launch an artificial intelligence-focused open lab in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City National University. The company is also accelerating global expansion, having been selected for a government-backed program to support international market entry and plans to establish operations in China’s Shandong Province.
