CNY Weakens Against USD to 6.8431 on May 13; EUR Falls 290 Pips

According to China’s interbank foreign exchange market, the USD/CNY central parity rate was set at 6.8431 on May 13, strengthening 5 pips as the yuan depreciated. The EUR/CNY rate fell 290 pips to 8.0039. Other major pairs included HKD/CNY at 0.87408 (up 1.5 pips), GBP/CNY at 9.2335 (down 471 pips), AUD/CNY at 4.9366 (down 47 pips), CAD/CNY at 4.9773 (down 65 pips), JPY/CNY at 4.3327 (down 108 pips), CNY/RUB at 10.8651 (up 212 pips), NZD/CNY at 4.0594 (down 80 pips), CNY/MYR at 0.57619 (up 15.5 pips), CHF/CNY at 8.7435 (down 270 pips), and SGD/CNY at 5.3635 (down 126 pips).
