On May 22, China's Ministry of Transport held a party group meeting to review the 14th Five-Year Plan for road and water transport development, according to official statements. The ministry emphasized accelerating the construction of intelligent, integrated, three-dimensional transportation networks and scaling up AI-driven innovation applications across the sector. Priorities include breakthroughs in critical core technologies, completion of major innovation projects, and development of strategic science and technology capabilities to support the country's 2035 goals of becoming a science and technology power and establishing a modern comprehensive transportation system.
