China's Ministry of Water Resources initiated a Level IV emergency flood response for Anhui, Henan, Chongqing, and Shaanxi provinces on May 24 at 9 a.m. The ministry instructed local water authorities and basin management agencies to closely monitor rainfall, water levels, and flood development, while strengthening dam safety operations and safeguarding ongoing construction projects. The ministry maintains ongoing Level IV flood responses for Jiangxi, Hubei, and Hunan provinces.
