China's M2 Money Supply Reaches 353.04 Trillion Yuan, Up 8.6% Year-on-Year as of End-April

According to the People’s Bank of China, as of end-April, the broad money supply (M2) stood at 353.04 trillion yuan, rising 8.6% year-on-year. The narrow money supply (M1) reached 114.58 trillion yuan, up 5% compared to the same period last year, while M0 in circulation totaled 14.75 trillion yuan, increasing 12.2% year-on-year. The central bank also injected 653 billion yuan of cash into circulation during the first four months.
