China Dispatches 132,000 Overseas Workers in Jan-April 2026, Down 13,000 Year-over-Year

According to China's Ministry of Commerce, Chinese enterprises dispatched 132,000 overseas workers during January-April 2026, a decrease of 13,000 compared to the same period in 2025. The deployment included 41,000 workers under engineering contracting projects and 91,000 under labor cooperation programs. As of the end of April, a total of 607,000 Chinese workers were employed abroad.
