According to BDACS, on May 13, the digital asset infrastructure company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Layer 1 blockchain platform Aptos to expand its KRW1 won-backed stablecoin to the Aptos network and build multi-chain on-chain commerce infrastructure.
The integration marks the first expansion of KRW1 to a non-Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-based mainnet. Both parties plan to enhance asset accessibility and liquidity while expanding KRW1’s utility in global digital finance markets through mobile gift card services and blockchain wallet infrastructure integration.
