Banca Sella Becomes Italy's First Compliant Crypto-Enabled Bank Under EU MiCA Rules

According to Criptovaluta.it, Italian bank Banca Sella has completed its notification to the Bank of Italy (Banca d'Italia) and will become the first Italian bank to provide cryptocurrency services in compliance with the EU MiCA regulation. The bank plans to launch digital asset custody and transfer services to specific client segments by the end of 2026. Banca Sella is also a founding member of the Qivalis alliance, which comprises 37 European banks working on launching a euro-backed stablecoin.
