According to Arbitrum DAO’s voting snapshot, the Arbitrum DAO approved the release of 30,765.6 ETH (approximately $70 million) to DeFi United, the initiative formed to mitigate the impact of the $292 million exploit on Kelp DAO last month. The vote received 182.2 million votes supporting the release, accounting for 90.96% of all voting power, with Arbitrum set to become the largest donor to DeFi United.
However, the transfer is likely to be blocked due to a May 1 court order restricting Arbitrum DAO from moving the recovered funds. The order was filed by multiple plaintiffs seeking to claim the frozen ETH as restitution based on terrorism judgments against North Korea, which is suspected to have carried out the April 18 attack on Kelp DAO via LayerZero.
