Introduction to Stocks | Gate

What is Gate Stocks?

Gate Stocks is a traditional financial stock trading service offered by Gate.
Users can trade U.S. stocks and ETFs directly with USDT on the Gate platform, without needing to open a separate brokerage account or manually convert to USD.

This product is available to users who meet the platform's eligibility requirements and supports buying, selling, position management, and transaction record queries during regular U.S. stock market trading hours.

Differences Between Gate Stocks and Traditional Stock Trading

Gate Stocks is designed for the same trading scenarios as traditional brokers when it comes to buying, holding, and selling U.S. stocks and ETFs: you can buy or sell by share or amount, experience gains or losses as market prices fluctuate, and corporate actions like cash dividends, stock splits, and reverse splits are reflected in your account according to the rules. The overall experience is consistent with traditional U.S. stock trading; the main differences are in shareholder status, trading hours, account settlement, and some trading features.

  • Corporate actions such as cash dividends, stock splits, and reverse splits are handled according to platform rules and reflected in your stock account and transaction history.
  • Users do not hold shares in their own name within the traditional stock registration system and do not enjoy voting or other traditional shareholder rights.

  • Trading fees are charged as a percentage of the transaction amount based on your VIP level, and the fee rate is the same as spot trading.
  • Actual fees and transaction results are subject to your transaction history records.
  • Settlement is in USDT. Direct stock withdrawals are not currently supported; only USDT deposits and withdrawals are available.
